Surface web is only the tip of the iceberg that is visible to the observers,a lot of it is buried in whats called a Deep Web. It consist of the data that you don't locate in a simple google search. No one really knows how big the deep web really is, but its hundreds of times bigger than the Surface web.

DARK WEB:

Dark Web may be defined as the Flip side of the Deep Web. You've no doubt heard talk of the “dark web” as a hotbed of criminal activity — and it is.Its the home to all the criminal activities.
In the dark web you'll find mostly sites that deal with illegal transaction, like purchase of weapons, drugs but also sites about government secrets and even human experimentation!
