Xiaomi/Redmi/Mi

Xiaomi is a Leading brand in India with a market share in 2019 of about 29% which is really huge. It is a Chinese company founded in 2010 and majorly sales in Smartphones, Earphones, Fitness Bands, Television sets and many other products.

In 2014 they came to inida seeling their fitness band with an exclusive tieup with Flipkart.

They knew the fact that India is a developing country and unlike USA, majority of people could not afford a Premium Smartphone. So, they started of by offering Budget Smartphones which initially became a huge hit because of the specifications they were offering in a budget handset were really Roofblowing.

But nobody wondered how they could offer specifications which other companies like samsung were offering at a much greater price!  

The answer is Simple, by Compromising its Build Quality and many other things. 

Here's the list to show you'll how is the company offering such Budget Smartphones :

👉Poor Build Quality 

In order to Provide the Best specifications, they use poor quality parts in their smartphones! Their display is said tobe protected by the GORILLA Glass but they never mention the specifics like gorilla glass I,II or III. There was an instance when A famous Youtuber was unboxing Redmi 5A which he purchased for around Rs6,000. The mobile slipped from his hand and its screen being of poor quality broke instantly! He went to the Xiaomi service centre the next day and they said that the screen will cost him Rs4,500!! WHAT! Rs4,500 for Screen Replacement in a Rs.6,000 device.Also their most of the Devices comes with a Slippery back,so a back cover is must! Therefore, Products are not Durable. 👉Bad After Sales Service

👉Heating issue

Many of you must have seen the memes made on this Heating issue of Xiaomi Phones. It is one of the biggest problems a consumer face! The company's main objective remains the same till now, To Create Hipe for the Product in the Market in order to attract consumers.They often organise Flash sales which is nothing but a trick to Create hipe and to be in the News.Their Products are often not available to purchase due to the Shortage in Stock. 👉No Privacy of Data

Xiaomi recently changed its polices adding a condition that it will store all their USER DATA.That means anything you surf on the Internet,your Aadhar Card details and even Cloud Data everything is being saved or maybe monitored. So, these were some of the points one should go through before buying a Xiaomi device.  My Intention is neither to expose Xiaomi nor to decrease their sales but  just to make the consumer aware of these facts.
